Car Detailing

I was in Cambridge on Thursday, August 4th for an external customer briefing on IBM's internal collaboration story - how IBM leverages collaborative tools to support its "on-demand" strategy. As usual, I parked at the Cambridgeside Galleria parking garage. I took special notice of the Dr. Detail car washing service in the garage itself. I've noticed similar services in malls around the country and always thought it was a cleaver idea - drop your car off while you shop, and pick it up afterwards. I've always enjoyed cleaning and maintaining my car but, as of late, I simply haven't had the time to do so due to family and work commitments as well as a multitude of project around the house. In addition, my car was particularly dirty since it hadn't been cleaned in months.

I was impressed with the service in terms of the quality of their work, the speed and the price. Dr. Detail is the official car wash or the Boston Red Sox so they must be good! The only negative is that they only take cash and checks (no credit or debit card). Fortunately, the mall has an ATM. I would definitely recommend Dr. Detail for anyone looking to get their car clean. In addition to the Cambrideside location, they also have locations at Copley, the Atrium Mall and Walpole. See their website for more details.
