Lenovo X201i first impressions

I received a new Lenovo X201i as my primary IBM-issued laptop. I've used other X Lenovo laptops (e.g. X200) in the past so this machine is very familiar to me. I love the size, weight and design. It's a great machine. The specs:

  • Celeron U3400 (1.06GHz)
  • 4GB RAM
  • 12.1in 1280x800 LCD
  • Intel HD Graphics
  • Intel 802.11agn wireless
  • Bluetooth
  • 1Gb Ethernet
  • Camera
  • 6 cell Li-Ion batery

I replaced the standard 160GB 7,000 RPM hard drive with an Intel 150GB SSD. I'm running IBM's Windows 7 Professional 64-bit image. This is a great low-cost (with the exception of the SSD) ultra-portable and replaces the outgoing X200s.

So far, I'm impressed. I'll post an update to this blog in the coming weeks after I've had a chance to use it more.
