Splashtop: Windows 8 on the iPad

I installed a new iPad application, Splashtop,  that mimics what Windows 8 will look like on a tablet.   The application is $25 in the Apple App Store and requires a PC running Windows 8 Consumer Preview to connect to via virtualization technology.  The application is geared to developers who are coding Windows 8 Metro applications and want to test it on a tablet without the expense of purchasing a Windows tablet.

Installation was straightforward:

1. Purchase and install the iPad application
2. Install the free streamer application on the Windows 8 PC

The application works well and supports the full range of Windows 8 multitouch gestures.  I can see myself using this application to demo Windows 8 to customers as well as to provide remote access to my PC.
