Traveler is good - but a slight Achilles heel for someone used to working with Windows Mobile 6 email client and hopping about between apps - Embedded HTML links come up fine when I'm using the Messaging client in Mobile 6 against my other email servers using IMAP, but when using the Traveler part against the Notes client, which is otherwise excellent, HTML enhancements/embedded links in messages are thrown away - so no embeded HTML links to follow through on to a mobile web browser. Traveler only gives you strict ASCII text rendering.

it would be good for teh development team to compare how Traveler presents emails in comparison with Exchange and other servers in Windows Mobile 6 and make it the same. On mine they are all presented in the same mail tree - so it's easy to compare the rendering in each. I think it's the Traveler server extensions that are probably stripping the formatting not the Windows Mobile 6 message client.

David Clover

IT Development Manager

Faculty of Mathematics, Computing and Technology

The Open University

Milton Keynes MK7 6AA

United Kingdom

Tel: (0)1908 653529

{ Link }

{ Link }
