Sony Releases Latest Laptop with 64GB Solid State Drive

Last week, Sony released its latest laptop equipped with a 64GB solid-state hard drive.    Using a solid state drive reduces weight, power consumption and improves disc access times over traditional spinning magnetic media.  The downside is the price ($3,999 for the VGN-TZ198N/RC) and the reduced storage capacity (64GB).   Is solid-state the wave of the future for laptops?
