Windows Home Server Power Pack 1 public beta is coming soon!
The Windows Home Server team is pleased to announce details of the public beta of Windows Home Server Power Pack 1. This public beta will include the fix for the data corruption bug described in Knowledge Base article #946676 as well as a host of other bug fixes and new capabilities. The Power Pack 1 download is planned to be available in early June and Beta participants are encouraged to sign up http://connect.microsoft.com/windowshomeserver and begin preparing now.
I've had a HP MediaSmart Window Home server since December, 2007. Right now, I use it primarily for backups and I'm pleased with it. I recently purchased Windows Home Server for Dummies and I'm looking forward going through in the coming weeks and learning more about the advanced features. Regarding the Windows Home Server Power Pack 1 beta, I think I'll pass and wait for the gold code given the number of other things on my plate at the moment.
